1.         Neighbourhood Wardens

 

         Dave Stretton (DS) Nottingham City Council introduced the new          Neighbourhood Wardens.

 

(a)               Gilbert Stewart

(b)               Darren Kettleborough

 

Their team leader would be

(c) Helen Dickman.

 

DS and GS gave talks highlighting the role of the Wardens, and answered member’s questions.  They would particularly concentrate on ‘hot spot’ areas.

 

They work in shifts alternate 8.00 am till 4.00 pm/2.00 pm till 10.00pm Monday to Saturday.

 

Contract phone numbers to be forwarded in due course.

 

RS thanked the wardens for there attendance, and looked forward to working closely with them.

 

2.      100 Day Clean Up Campaign

 

Numerous responses from the newsletter slip had been passed onto

Street Scene.

DS outlined the current progress and took note of comments from the committee.

 

RS discussed proposals to seek dog-walkers advice re the sighting of any additional poop-scoop bins.

 

 

 

3.         Open Gardens

 

The open Gardens weekend planned for 27 June was proceeding to plan, under the guidance of Josie Foster.  It was resolved that quotes for Banners be sought.  Also it was also discussed that further funding may be available through Lesley Lowe.

                        Lesley Lowe had left Nottingham CC ( WCG not advised )

                        RS to pursue through Area Committee Co-Ordinator.

 

4.            Neighbourhood Watch

 

Following the General Public meeting with our Beat Bobby and the Police Neighbourhood Watch Information Officer one person had volunteered to be a ‘Street representative’.

 

It was resolved that RS put up further notices on our Notice Boards to see if further community commitment could be generated.



5.            Minutes of previous meeting

           
Accepted as a true record.

6.            Outstanding Actions

            (i)            Hanging baskets – DS had indicated that these would be in place prior                 to the Open Gardens.

(iii)            AGM – Provisional Date arranged for the 6th September 2004.
            Notices to be advertised.
