Action

Motion to extend the boundaries of Wilford Community Group

BH explained the background to the motion as follows:

  • The Group had received representations from residents at the Stepping Stones caravan site and also from residents living on or near Ruddington Lane south of the Becket School.
  • These representations were to come within the boundaries of Wilford Community Group instead of within those of Silverdale Community Association.
  • Discussions had taken place between the Secretary of Wilford Community Group and Mr Colin Mackie of Silverdale Community Association and it was agreed that this change was acceptable to both Groups.

BH explained the full motion to be considered was That, following consultation with residents and with the Silverdale Community Association, the boundaries of Wilford Community Group be extended to include all residential addresses and area of concern and interest at:

101 to 241 and 166 to 238 Ruddington Lane, including the Becket School and the Ruddington Lane playing fields; Barnfield; Fieldway; Brierfield Avenue; Alton Avenue; Launceston Crescent; Stepping Stones caravan site; Clifton Lane Ambulance Station, And that the constitution of Wilford Community group be amended accordingly.”

By a show of hands, the motion was passed unanimously and the Secretary agreed to amend the constitution accordingly, inform Nottingham City Homes, inform Silverdale Community Association and amend any appropriate other documentation.

The meeting closed at 7:40pm and was followed by a public consultation with Andrew Pendleton of the Environment Agency on the subject of the changes to the River Trent flood defences and how they might impact Wilford.
