Wilford LibraryDB and BH had attended the Area Committee where 30 minutes was given to discussion about the library with the purse holder and a library manager present. It was made clear that there is no money available to improve the library. Any funds that might have been used are being spent elsewhere. The library can make use of some of the land at the council house adjacent to the building and there was a suggestion that a coffee bar might be opened there in the future. There was disappointment that the adjacent site has been allocated for housing. It was agreed that the WCG needs to keep its concerns about the library as high profile as possible |

Report from Area Committee Meeting- The 191 bus service is run by a private company not the City Council. - Yellow lines will go down on Main Road in April and Neighbourhood Wardens will be checking on motorists. (It was noted that Wilford has seen more visits for the Wardens recently.) - DB volunteered to sit on the Open & Green Spaces Committee. |

TramsBH and RS met NET to discuss the siting of stops and route design. RS had concerns about a stop close to The Ferry Inn preventing emergency access to the rugby pitch during large events. Group members favour a stop at the rear of Bader Road which would give more convenient access for a majority of Wilford Village residents. WCG is to decide whether to ask residents of Bader Road for their opinion so that we can relay this accurately to NET. We also need to decide how to contribute to the public enquiry in due course. Parking, as well as an objection to a stop at The Ferry, will be an issue to raise. |

NewsletterThere was discussion about items that should be included and it was agreed that there should be a headline mentioning the WCG’s achievements. Articles to include the tram, the library, 191 bus service. It was further agreed that WCG should pay to have the newsletter delivered. DB will research cost via West Bridgford News. |
