Minutes of the Committee Meeting

Held on Monday 20 October 2008 at Wilford Social Club

Charles gave an update on local crime figures which had increased slightly. Cyclists had been reported crossing the road at the traffic lights next to the Post Office against the lights. A suspect man ( black ) had been seen approaching young girls near the school, the Police are keeping a careful watch on this matter. The police now have a key to the allotments. Consideration is being given to a CTV camera near the Co-op and Elaine was asked to enquire into costings.

 

The outstanding Actions were reviewed and the following carried forward to the next meeting

Application to Gleeds BH

 

 

Placement of emptied bins being left by refuse collectors discussed. It was pointed out that generally this has received quite wide publicity in the press

 

Suspension Bridge All in full support to attempt to keep open & to contact West Bridgford Community group ( if any ) to offer our support

 

Co-op parking several people have been fined £90 for overstaying the 2 hour rule

 

Pond the path is laid and benches etc in place, still getting a lot of litter from both parties and fishermen. Request some action from Police Fees to fish from 1 April 2009

 

Nottingham Arrow contains many items after the date for action expired

 

Elaine discussed community group funding for future needs
