Minutes of an Extra-Ordinary Committee Meeting

Held on Monday 17^th January 2005 at

Wilford Social Club at 9.45 pm

This meeting, chaired by BH, was called to discuss the proposed Open Evening

on Friday 10^th February.

It is a priority that we confirm the availability of a hall before proceeding

to confirm dates with guest speakers.

Three schools, South Wilford, Emmanuel, St. Patricks, to be asked to

send out letters inviting parents to an Open Meeting re the future of

‘Schools Travel Plan’.

1^st action – confirm hall SA

2^nd action – confirm with Diane Topple and Nick Smith BR

3^rd Action – circulate letters via the 3 schools. Ask if they will

photocopy DB will draw up a draft letter on A5 paper DB

It was agreed not to leaflet each property as parents were being notified

via the schools but have posters in every available local outlet. DB

Insurance:- SA has investigated various possibilities for group

open events. The one most suitable for our needs appears to be £150

which will cover us for 15 events with 500 people and3^rd Party cover of

1 million pounds. Because of the short time scale it was unanimously

agreed to ask SA to proceed SA
