Framework Knitters Museum, Ruddington

Once again the naughty knitted bunnies have hidden themselves in various rooms. The museum needs eagle-eyed youngsters to help find their knitted pets. THEFTS FROM VEHICLES IN WILFORD

21st February 2014

Please be aware that on Saturday 22 February 2014 between 1130 and 1300 hours there was a theft from two vehicles parked in the car park opposite Wilford Ambulance Station. The offender forced the passenger side windows of both vehicles and also forced the lock, then stole a SatNav unit and other electrical items from inside. Earlier in the month, thefts of equipment from vans in Vernon Avenue were also reported.

"PIGEON BRIDGE" TRAM BARRIER BURNT DOWN

8th February 2014

Last week and without notice, NET closed the footpath at the railway bridge on the footpath to the rear of Vernon Avenue. This caused great inconvenience, especially to students walking to the Emmanuel and Becket schools. NET have applied retrospectively for permission to close the footpath, but on Saturday evening Nottinghamshire Fire Service were called to a fire which destroyed NET's barrier.

THEFT FROM VEHICLES

7th February 2014

Please be aware that between 2100 hours on Thursday 6 February and 0720 hours on Friday 7 February 2014 there were two vehicles broken into on Deane Road, Wilford. The offender smashed the passenger side window on both cars and stole the stereo systems from the centre consoles. Nottinghamshire Police are appealing for information in relation to a 4x4 vehicle that was seen in the area at the time. If you have any information about this incident please contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101 and quote incident number 114-07022014.
