Iremongers Pond Association

Iremongers Pond and the surrounding area is managed by the “Iremongers Pond Association” (IPA).

From the 1st of April 2022, angling in the pond is controlled by "Iremongers Pond Fishing Club". For more information on fishing at the pond, please get in touch with the Head Bailiff (contact details available here).

The parkland surrounding the pond - outside of the path enclosing the pond - continues to be maintained by the Iremongers Pond Association and its team of volunteers.

The pond offers quiet country walks around the bank side path for walkers, pushchairs and dog walkers, together with quiet fishing for many native fish species.

Anglers must be fully paid-up members of the Iremongers Pond Fishing Club and hold the necessary National Anglers License, national and pond rules will be strictly enforced. Membership information can be found on our Fishing Page.

Local residents and interested individuals may wish to be 'Associate Members of the Iremongers Pond Association'. This is offered to those who would like to be regarded as "Friends of the Pond" for non-angling and would therefore like to contribute to the upkeep and improvement of the pond area with a £10 a  year membership. This gets you a membership card, and an invite to any meetings we have where you can get your voice heard on new developments and we'll look at having a picnic come BBQ at the pond in the summer, should restrictions permit.

Below you will find useful links to our other pages including about our history, our committee and our wildlife.

Further down this page is a MAP of the pond, information about WHERE WE ARE, and how to CONTACT US.

There is a wheelchair-accessible walk around the pond in addition to further trails and areas to explore beyond. Multiple benches are located at ideal viewing spots with picnic areas for those wishing to enjoy time together.

The dipping platform and Swales provide the perfect opportunity for young and old to get within touching distance of our natural pond life. More information can be found on our Wildlife page.
